Trying to figure out a long term decision for myself, i came across articles which mentioned the decision making thesis of world leaders like Jeff Bezos, Steve Jobs, Elon Musk and Warren Buffett.

According to Elon Musk, we should take any decision by order of first principles thinking.

Lets say you have a problem, figure out the common assumptions society has related to it. Boil those down to the fundamental truths that govern those assumptions. Verify those truths and figure out a better course of action towards the solution.

According to Warren Buffett, strategic and management thinking is best governed if the decisions you take are published in the news.

Lets say, hypothetically, you are to take a decision. consider it published in the news, what is your reaction then? If you are comfortable with that, you've got a good decision.

According to Jeff Bezos and Steve Jobs, people who are right a lot make decisions differently than everyone else.

People who are often right, often change their minds and contradict their previous decisions. They're open to new points of view, new ideas, contradictions, and challenges to their own way of thinking.

Steve jobs would often flip on something so fast that you would forget that he was the one taking the 180 degree polar opposite position the day before.

Being realistically accurate is more important than you being right.

Leaders are open to being wrong at all times, in fact, they cherish the thought of being challenged.
